A hoop pendant necklace is a piece of jewellery where a circular, oval or tear-shaped pendant is suspended from a necklace chain to hang at the front of the wearer's neck. These necklaces vary in style, ranging from simple, minimalist designs to more complex ones featuring interlocking hoops, single gemstones or a continuous loop of diamonds.

A trace chain, also known as a cable or anchor chain, features uniform, oval-shaped links that fit closely together, resulting in a fine and delicate appearance. Although often mistaken for a belcher chain due to its similar shape, a trace chain is constructed from solid round wire, whereas a belcher chain is formed from curved strips of alloy. Princess necklaces measure 18 to 20 inches (45 to 51cm) and rest just below the collarbone. Although ‘princess’ can also specify ornate, gem-set styles, it now primarily refers to length and placement. It suits pendants that hang just below the collarbone.
