The Initial Consultation

When Leonie approached Essex Bespoke Jewellery, she had a unique and personal project in mind — to upgrade the diamond in her engagement ring. Her original ring featured a 0.60ct round brilliant diamond. While it had served her beautifully over the years, Leonie was ready for something truly breathtaking, something that would reflect her individuality and personal journey.

Sourcing the Perfect Diamond

Working closely with our highly skilled and experienced master jeweller, we sourced and set a stunning 1.24ct round brilliant diamond of exceptional quality: E colour, VVS1 clarity, and no fluorescence. This upgrade brought a new brilliance and presence to Leonie’s engagement ring, perfectly reflecting the next chapter in her story.

Rebuilding the Ring

Rather than crafting a new ring from scratch, we preserved the sentimental value of Leonie’s original piece by rebuilding and enhancing the existing mount with the utmost care and precision. The shoulders, which feature smaller diamonds, were carefully reset to complement the new centre stone, and the ring was meticulously rebuilt for strength, security, and symmetry. The result was a seamless transformation that honoured the original design while elevating its beauty and value, a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship.

A Pendant with Sentimental Value

With the original 0.60ct diamond now removed, we wanted to ensure it wouldn’t be forgotten in a drawer. We proposed a meaningful and stylish solution to repurpose it into a bespoke solitaire pendant. This allowed Leonie to continue wearing her original engagement stone, now around her neck, keeping its sentimental value close to her heart and adding a new chapter to its story. This chapter is profoundly personal and emotional.

The Final Result

Leonie was overjoyed with the final results. She described both pieces as “absolutely stunning” and said she couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. It was a true pleasure to bring her vision to life and deliver jewellery that reflects not just beauty, but her personal journey.
