The primary gemstone is typically elevated by arches that rise from the band, resembling cathedral architecture. This style can make the centre stone appear larger and more prominent. 

The primary gemstone is raised above the ring band, making it much more visible. Unlike a cathedral or trellis head, a raised head is typically solid without cut-outs on either side of the gallery.

Unlike a cathedral head, the prongs of a cross-over or Trellis-style ring interweave in the gallery area, creating an X-shape when viewed from the side, similar to a garden trellis.

The prongs were created separately from the ring band and then soldered together, creating a peg-like head. This style allows the gemstone to sit higher on the ring, making it appear more prominent. 

This ringhead style creates the illusion of a gemstone floating above the band by using prongs that do not fully encircle it, enhancing its visibility and dramatic effect.

The head of the ring is designed to sit lower on the finger, creating a sleeker and less protruding look. This is achieved by setting the gemstone closer to the band of the ring, which often makes the gallery flush with the ring band.
